Pre-appointment information
Cost of treatment is $140, pricing does not change for one ear/two ears or the method of wax removal. The method of wax removal (syringing/ micro suction/ curettage) will be decided based on ear examination and patient preference. If wax removal is unable to be completed in one appointment, one additional appointment will be provided at no additional charge. If wax removal is not required or is medically contraindicated (not safe to proceed with) on the day, a reduced callout fee of $80 will be charged. Cash, credit/debit card or direct bank deposit are accepted payment methods, we do not accept cheque.
Prior to receiving wax removal treatments, clients or a legally authorized person on their behalf, must complete a consent form as well as a complete ear health case history. Failure to do so may mean the treatment cannot be undertaken on the day, and the call out fee will apply. The patient and any caregivers will have the opportunity to ask questions about the procedures and can withdraw their consent at any time. All personal and healthcare information obtained will be used for the sole purpose of providing the described healthcare services and will not be disclosed to outside parties without permission from the patient/ legal caregiver. All information will be treated as sensitive and stored in a safe and confidential manner.
It is recommended that wax softening drops or sprays, such as Waxsol or Clear Ear, are used 2-3 days prior to the wax removal appointment. Do not use if you have a perforated ear drum, pain or discharge, or any known allergy to product ingredients.
